KNYSNA NEWS - The Amber Girls Foundation, led by Amber Cole, recently received a donation of 10 dignity packs to support its mission of empowering women and youth in Knysna.
The dignity packs are what the Amber Girls Foundation is known for, consisting of gift packs made up of sanitary products, toiletries and gifts which then get distributed to women and girls in need.
The donation helps AGF expand its initiatives and create lasting impact on girls and women in the community.
In August 2023, Devoline Mollighan, acting on behalf of the Women's Charity Group (WCG), reached out to AGF for assistance for dignity packs at a women's support group launched in Concordia.
This collaboration serves as a bridge of mutual interest, establishing a foundation for future partnerships aligned with AGF's founding principles.
The Amber Girls Foundation will be launching several projects this year to empower girls, provide practical skills, and engage the community in making a difference.
These projects include the AGG Mentoring Facility, the AGF Dignity Pack Drop-off/Experience Vehicle, the AGF Charity Shop, AGF Heroes Support Group, and the AGF Exchange Programme.
The collaboration between AGF and WCG marks a significant milestone in the aim to empower Knysna’s women and youth.
