KNYSNA NEWS AND VIDEO - It's Saturday 5 May and car enthusiasts from all corners of the country have descended on Knysna for the Jaguar Simola Hillclimb King of the Hill shootout.
84 high powered beasts will battle it out for the highly sought-after title of King of the Hill, spread out into different classes, over today and tomorrow, Sunday 6 May.
Today will be made up of 5 practice sessions and two qualifiers. Already thousands of spectators have taken to Simola hill to experience the adrenalin pumping action.

Yesterday, Friday 4 May, the Classic Conqueror title was won by Franco Scribante in his 1970 Chevron B19. He completed the 1.9km attack on the hill in 42.196 seconds.
Rounding out the top three was Ian Schofield driving his March 77B in second place with a time of 45.433 seconds; and in third, Peter Jenkins, in a 1971 Chevron B19 finished his attack on the hill in 45.882 seconds.
