KNYSNA NEWSFLASH & VIDEO - If you’ve been along to the Knysna Waterfront this past week, or driven out towards George on the N2, you might have noticed some action at the harbour or lagoon’s edge. But what’s going on?
A Finnish production team, with a few South African connections, is currently filming an adventure show in Sedgefield and Knysna – almost like the Amazing Race, called “Eternal Glory”.
According to the show’s Finnish producer Anna-Maria Meurman the show incorporates teams made up of eight ex-Olympic medal winners from Finland taking part in different adventure tasks.
“These athletes are all professionals who have taken part in world championship events or the Olympics in the past. It is our fourth time shooting here with Patrick. I always think it is my last time but I keep coming back,” she said.

Patrick Walton, the South African producer on the show, said that Knysna and Sedgefield are the obvious choices for a show like this. “We have such diverse and beautiful locations here and the short distance between the two locations makes it easy to film.”
According to Walton Sedgefield Tourism and the Knysna municipality were a great help to the crew.
