KNYSNA NEWS - The Showroom in the Knysna industrial area is raring and ready to go for another special showcase this weekend. 

Hosted by The Doos Gallery, this week's event is under a very open brief: "What is a Thing Called Art?". 

Organisers reached out to a group of local artists, who all responded positively to the brief, and whose work will be put on display between 15:00 and 18:30 on Friday 29 September, and between 10:00 and 13:00 on Saturday 30 September.

"We have also collated items that might promote some interesting discussions: where does craft end and art begin?" said Nicki Friedlin of The Doos Gallery. "Is something art just because it has a title and is shown in a gallery? We hope that those viewing the show will be stimulated to ask themselves what they perceive as art…and why!"

Cocktails will again be served courtesy of the Knysna Gin Distillery, beers provided by Red Bridge Brewery and pizzas from Maillard Baking Co.
