KNYSNA NEWS - Newly appointed Western Cape minister of human settlements Tertuis Simmers took the month of June to conduct a number of site visits at Western Cape housing projects, visiting Knysna in the process.
Simmers inspected nine different sites along the Garden Route on 12 and 13 June, two of which were in the Knysna area.
On 12 June, he spent time at the Witlokasie and Bloemfontein housing projects in White Location, prior to which he spent time at the New Horizon and KwaNokuthula projects in Plettenberg Bay.
He would visit a further five sites in George, Mossel Bay and Oudtshoorn, and according to the minister's media liaison Marcellino Martin, Simmers is currently collating the information he obtained during his visits to provide feedback and possibly solutions to any problems that may have been found.
