KNYSNA NEWS - Heidevallei is currently burning for the second time in four months - a separate fire to that at the refuse site.
The refuse site has been burning for just over a week, but is under control according to the municipality's spokesperson, Dibandlela Nkume.
The fire in Heidevallei started burning earlier this afternoon, sending plumes of smoke into town due to the direction of the wind.
Nkume confirmed that fire department crews are on site, and that the fire is under control.
