Fidelity ADT and Bitou law enforcement officers carried out crime prevention operations in various areas on Friday night, 14 March.

When officers arrived on the scene, the suspect started running away. "The dedicated crime fighters gave chase on foot and arrested him while he was trying to disappear between houses," Nagel said.
Upon searching the man, officers found 22 Mandrax tablets, two straws of tik and cash in his possession. The suspect was taken to the local police station where he was apprehended and a case of drug dealing opened.
During the rest of the operations, the teams did a visibility and stop-and-search patrol through Kwanokuthula, Bossiesgif and Qolweni, where a number of knives were confiscated, Nagel said.
