GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - A fire broke out near the Grootvadersbosch Reserve yesterday, 12 February. This fire was dealt with and contained by GRDM Riversdale and Hessequa Municipality Fire Services late last night.
According to the Garden Route District municipality, the fire lines north, west the east line are contained and extinguished.
The southern line is contained and mopping-up is underway on the line.
Objectives for today:
- Southern, northern and western lines will be patrolled by foot.
- GRDM firefighters and Working on Fire and landowners' workers will handle this task.
- Role players on the scene currently include GRDM Firefighters, WoF and landowners.
Roleplayers in managing these fires include GRDM, George Municipality Fire Services, Hessequa Municipality Fire Services, Southern Cape Fire Protection Association, Working on Fire and relevant landowners.
