KNYSNA NEWS - Game has confirmed that their Knysna and George stores were closed earlier today after an employee at the Knysna store tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.
According to Michelle Kemp, Game's Corporate Reputation Manager, they "have closed the store and have engaged a professional cleaning company to sanitise and deep clean the store". She further added that "store associates who were in contact with the staff member have been identified and are self-isolating".
Kemp also clarified that the Knysna store can and will only be reopened once the Department of Health authorises that it is safe to do so.
While the employee is from the Knysna store, the George branch was closed as a further precaution.
"The Game store in George was closed in an abundance of caution, given that the staff member who tested positive in Kynsna recently visited the Game store in George. There are currently no reported Covid-19 cases in the George store," Kemp concluded.
