The two collaborate because Berlow Furniture supplies supplies MacDonald with the oak shavings that result from his manufacturing of fine furniture from reclaimed French oak wine barrels. MacDonald in turn uses the shavings for to smoke his world-renowned delicacies - a perfect cycle.
Ed Shuttleworth of 1st Knysna Sea Scouts said they were happy to be associated with the prestigious launch of two exciting new Knysna business ventures, namely Berlow Furniture and The Old Cape Smokehouse.
"Funds raised in aid of the 1st Knysna Sea Scout group amounted to just in excess of R1 500, which the committee plans to use for painting the exterior of the newly plastered walls of the Scout Hall on George Rex Drive," he confirmed.
