KNYSNA NEWS - PROPERTY-RELATED INCIDENTS:
TOWN AREA
THEFT - LONG ST (Thurs 27 September @ 12h00) – Members of the public requested assistance after apprehending a suspect who stole a bicycle. Officers responded and SAPS were notified. The suspect was taken in for further investigation.
COMMON ROBBERY - WATERFRONT DR (Thurs 27 September @ 14h39) - Our Response Officer was stopped and advised that a man was robbed of his camera and a vehicle in the same was also broken into. Descriptions of the 2 suspects were provided and Officers searched the area. No arrests were made.
BURGLARY - CLYDE ST (Fri 28 September @ 01h10) – Members of SAPS reported that there was a break-in at business premises and items were pulled through the window. Allsound Officers assisted to search the area. SAPS apprehended a suspect and the stolen goods were recovered.
BURGLARY - MAIN ST (Mon 1 October @ 09h28) - Gentleman telephoned to report that a guest unit was broken into and 2 bags were stolen. SAPS were on site to open a case and cameras were reviewed. No suspect/s were identified.
THEFT OUT M.V. - FICHAT ST (Tues 2 October @ 03h30) - Allsound Camera Operator spotted 2 possible suspicious persons on CCTV cameras and dispatched vehicles. Officers found that a vehicle parked nearby had been broken into. Two suspects were apprehended and stolen items were recovered. A case was opened and suspects were handed over to SAPS.
RESIDENTIAL ROBBERY - GRAY ST (Tues 2 October @ 04h44) - Resident requested assistance after hearing a woman screaming on the property. Officers responded and met SAPS on site. It was reported that an intruder entered the apartment and was disturbed by the resident. It was unknown at the time if anything was missing.
BURGLARY - TROTTER ST (Thurs 2 October @ 13h26) - Business owner reported that they had a break-in during lunch time. The security gate at the office was forced open and 2 laptops stolen. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.
KNYSNA HEIGHTS / PARADISE / HEUWELKRUIN
BURGLARY - FAURE ST (Sun 30 September @ 10h45) - Client reported that there was a break-in at a guest cottage on the property. An old box-shape TV was reported missing. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.
OLD PLACE / COSTA SARDA
BURGLARY - BOKMAKIERIE ST (Fri 28 September @ 22h11) - Client reported hearing a noise. Officers responded and found that an outbuilding on the property was broken into. Suspect tried to steal a TV but fled empty-handed. SAPS were notified.
BURGLARY - HERONS WAY (Sun 30 September @ 19h44) - Resident reported that they had a break-in over the weekend and requested assistance to get SAPS. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.
SALT RIVER / GREEN PASTURES / BLARRICUM
BURGLARY - SALT RIVER RD (Sat 29 September @ 18h57) - Officer responded to alarm signal and confirmed that a window was broken. Keyholder was notified and reported nothing was missing. No case was opened.
