KNYSNA NEWS - PROPERTY-RELATED INCIDENTS:
TOWN AREA
THEFT - TROTTER STR (Thurs 23 November @ 12h25) - Officer responded to panic alarm. Two suspects were inside storeroom and fled when spotted. One suspect was apprehended at scene and found in possession of stolen goods. SAPS were notified for a case to be opened.
SHOPLIFTING - MAIN STR (Thurs 23 November @ 16h54) - Allsound Guards radioed to report that 2 female suspects were apprehended for shoplifting. They were suspected to be part of a syndicate. Vehicle and accomplices description was broadcast. Two hours later, Allsound Officer spotted vehicle in town. SAPS were notified and the vehicle was pulled over. SAPS arrested another 3 suspects and recovered a large amount of stolen goods.
COMMON ROBBERY - MAIN STR (Fri 24 November @ 23h25) - Lady stopped our Response Officer to report that she was robbed of her cellphone. Description was provided, area was searched but suspect not found.
BURGLARY - NEW STREET (Sun 26 November @ 01h10) - Officer responded to alarm signal and found window open with break-in tools lying inside. Area was searched and suspect was apprehended. SAPS were notified and suspect was handed over.
THEFT OUT M.V. - VOORTREKKER STR (Sun 26 November @ 15h06) - Client stopped our Response Vehicle to report that his car was broken into. A wallet and sunglasses were stolen out the glove box. Suspect description was provided, area was searched but no one found.
THEFT - FICHAT STR (Mon 27 November @ 14h27) - Parking attendant stopped Allsound Response Officer to report that a suspect had broken into vehicle and fled. Allsound Officer chased suspect and apprehended him in Queen street. A stolen cellphone was recovered and suspect was handed over to SAPS.
THEFT - GRAY STR (Wed 29 November @ 13h03) - Client telephoned to report that clothing was stolen from display outside shop. No suspect description available. No case opened.
SHOPLIFTING - MAIN STR (Wed 29 November @ 17h01) - Allsound Guards reported a shoplifting. A suspect was apprehended, case opened and suspect handed over to SAPS.
KNYSNA HEIGHTS / PARADISE / HEUWELKRUIN
THEFT FROM VEHICLE - UITSIG STR (Sat 25 November @ 11h02) - Guard pressed the panic button after suspect stole hubcaps from vehicle. Suspect was chased and dropped the stolen goods. Area was searched, no arrests made. No case was opened.
BURGLARY - MAIN RD (Sat 26 November @ 16h51) - Owner reported a break-in at house. Entry was gained through bathroom window, suspects then disabled the alarm in the roof. Items stolen included jewellery, flat screen TV and laptop. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.
ATTEMPTED THEFT OUT M.V - WESTHILL DR (Sun 26 November @ 22h50) - Client phoned in after seeing suspect trying to force his car window open. Suspect fled when owner disturbed him. Nothing stolen.
THEFT OUT M.V. - PROTEA RD (Tues 28 November @ 20h20) - Client reported that her vehicle was broken into during. No case was opened.

THEFT - MILKWOOD DR (Sat 25 November @ 11h01) - Client telephoned to report suspect entered his property and stole his Weed Eater. Weedeater was recovered on bush path not far from property. No case was opened.
ATTEMPTED THEFT - BOKMAKIERIE STR (Sat 25 November @ 12h20) - Client phoned Control Room after an unknown man was found in her house. Suspect did not take anything and fled when he was spotted. Area was searched, no one found matching description provided.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE - UIL STR (Fri 27 November @ 03h19) - Officer responded to panic alarm. Known suspect was apprehended in possession of a vehicle side mirror stolen from car on site. Suspect was handed over to SAPS.
BURGLARY / THEFT - UIL STR (Mon 27 November @ 08h28) - Client phoned in to report that copper pipes were stolen from property. A window was also forced open. SAPS were notified for case to be opened.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - KALENDER STR (Wed 29 November @ 05h16) - Officer responded to alarm signal and met with owner. Attempted break-in was confirmed. No case opened.
FISHER HAVEN / HUNTERS HOME / REXFORD
BURGLARY - MARLIN RD (Thurs 23 November @ 07h46) - Client reported break-in at outbuilding sometime during the night. Radio and speakers reported missing. Case was opened.
BURGLARY - FRASER STR (Sun 26 November @ 07h09) - Client phoned in to report a break-in at the house some time during the night. A flat screen TV, laptop, binoculars and other small items missing. SAPS were on site, case opened.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - TULBAGH STR (Sat 25 November @ 21h13) - Client activated the panic when suspect tried to break-in. A hole was found in fence and footprints around the house. Suspect/s fled when siren triggered. Area was searched, no one found.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - STEENBRAS STR (Tues 28 November @ 20h08) - Resident telephoned to report that suspect was seen trying to break in but fled when he was seen. Description was provided and area was searched.
RHEENENDAL / PHANTOM RIVER
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - RHEENENDAL RD (Wed 29 November @ 03h01) - Officer responded to alarm signal and found gate forced open. Keyholder was notified and confirmed attempted break-in. Nothing stolen, no case opened.
