Donations and supplies needed for firefighters

KNYSNA NEWS - During the Knysna Fires the town and community was supported by neighbouring towns.

Some Knysna and Sedgefield residents have decided it's time to give back. If anyone can assist they will make sure the fireman get the supplies.

"I saw first hand how much these fireman need. We lost our own hero yesterday in a helicopter crash trying to fight this fire - lets support the heros who are there now saving lives in Nico's memory," said Belinda Hobson, one of the local good Samaritans.

Drop off any of the below supplies at the Sedgefield and Knysna Tourism offices.

The following is needed for the Emergency Services in Riversdal:

• Water
• Energades
• Juices
• Bar Ones
• Eyedrops and Wetwipes

The fire is now reportedly spreading between Riversdal, Stilbaai, Heidelberg and Witsand areas.
