KNYSNA NEWS - A team of municipal workers has been working their way through Knysna during the past six weeks of lockdown fully equipped with personal protective equipment, disinfecting areas around town as they go.
The Knysna Rotary Club helped to make the project possible by securing funding from their donors, and the campaign started on Thursday 9 April, when the team of workers made their way around the taxi rank spraying the sidewalks, public bathrooms, and all the taxis.
Over the course of the three weeks that followed, the team disinfected various places around Knysna, including schools and again at the taxi rank last week, and this week they were set to visit crèches too.
They are said to continue with the campaign as part of the ongoing fight against the spread of Covid-19.
