PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Bitou crimefighters managed to arrest two suspected drug dealers and a further two alleged burglars.
Plettenberg Bay Crime Prevention Association (PBCPA) operations head Otto Olivier said on Tuesday 13 June, the Kranshoek Rapid Response unit received information from the local community about drugs being sold in Kranshoek.
With the assistance of local police and highway patrol, crime fighters followed the information up and came across two suspects.
"The two suspects were arrested and Mandrax, Tik and cash were found on the scene," Olivier said.
At about 02:00 the next morning, Kranshoek Rapid Response unit members again responded to an alert of two burglaries at the newly renovated morgue in Kranshoek.
"Two suspects were found on site with various tools including machetes, crowbars, knives and other equipment usually used to dismantle taps, toilets, window frames and doors, among others.
"The suspects were handed over to local police." Olivier commended the response unit and police for their cooperation which led to the arrests. Police confirmed the incidents and arrests.
