KNYSNA NEWS - This weekend the Knysna Rotary Club will once again be hosting a shavathon at the Knysna Mall in support of the Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa).
The Knysna Rotary Club has supported and hosted the local Cansa Shavathon since 2012, first at Woodmill Lane and now at the Knysna Mall, where it will be held again on Saturday 25 February from 09:00 to 15:00.
"Rotary invites residents to visit our table and support this life-saving drive, either by having their hair sprayed, their beards shaved or cut, or merely to be there to support the cause," said Knysna Rotarian Irmela Pakendorff.
"There is also the option of donating. The minimum amount is R50, but more is very acceptable."
There will also be a second mini-shavathon next week Monday, 27 February, at Salt and Petal restaurant from 09:00 onwards.
All money raised will be used to support Cansa and cancer research. If you would like to make a donation before the time, you can contact Rotarians Clive Wilkinson on 083 255 5946 or Irmela Pakendorf on 082 772 1863.
Shavathons also see people adopt very interesting colour schemes in their hair.
