KNYSNA NEWS - Criminal charges of fraud and perjury are to be laid tomorrow (Monday, December 5) against political office bearers of the Knysna Municipality by the DA, according to a statement by the DA.
This follows a judgment in the Western Cape High Court last week in which Judge Robert Henney said a “fraud on the court” had been committed by respondents in an Urgent Application by the DA to stop payment by the municipality to eight political appointees.
Dr Dion George, DA Constituency Head for Knysna, said in a statement: “The DA will not stand by while the ANC/Patriotic Alliance/PBI/EFF Coalition of Corruption attempts to capture our town and steal hardworking ratepayer’s money to fund jobs for their political cronies.”
George said in the statement that the charges will be laid at noon on Monday at the Knysna Police Station in Main Road.
