KNYSNA NEWS - The toys were everywhere. And the bikes kept on coming.
And the heap grew and grew until the tent got too small and they made more space and more toys were gathered and put in plastic bags to protect from the welcome rain.
These toys are on their way to the hearts of happy children over the festive season. And that is why the bikers gathered.
They descended on Mossel Bay by the hundreds and from all over the Garden Route.
They each brought a bit of rain along, but blessings upon blessings for all and everybody happy together at this charity event to benefit underprivileged children.
The magic of the biker brotherhood at work. It does not matter who or what you are, or what the size or the colour of your bike or your skin is, we all have each other's goodwill in mind.
They should let the bikers run the country!
Hundreds of bikes and even more bikers gathered at Heiderand complex and supported the local industry and then embarked on a mass ride to the lapa at the Correctional Services grounds.
There were food and drinks and entertainment, and despite the rainy weather, mother nature and all else had a rewarding experience.

The organisers did a great job collecting and also arranging where the toys go, to benefit the underprivileged kids at various homes and institutions.
So, considering there were probably over four hundred bikes and even more bikers, and seeing so many bikes overloaded with toys, more than a thousand toys were collected.
And there is the happy smile right there for all the bikers of the Garden Route.
And then the other joy still awaits. The ride back home. That is part of the pleasure of being a biker.
We get to ride these beautiful machines all over the place. Not only for a worthy cause, but also for the joy of riding. Bikers do it with motion. Enjoy the ride.
