PROPERTY-RELATED INCIDENTSTOWN AREA
BURGLARY - UNION ST (Thurs 25 May @ 07h32) - Client phoned in to report tyres lying in his property. Officers responded and met with owner of neighbouring property. Tyres were reported stolen from their premises during the night. SAPS were notified and a case opened for further investigation.
THEFT OUT OF M.V. - MAIN RD (Thurs 25 May @ 23h26) - Client reported that one of his customers' vehicles was broken into. Owner of the vehicle confirmed that nothing was missing. SAPS were notified.
SHOPLIFTING - GRAY ST (Fri 26 May @ 15h31) - Officers responded to a panic signal. Store staff caught a suspect shoplifting. SAPS were notified and suspect was handed over and charged.
SHOPLIFTING - MAIN ST (Fri 26 May @ 19h34) - Client phoned in to report that 2 suspects tried to steal from the shop. Officers responded and removed the men. Client declined to open a case.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - NEWTON ST (Sat 27 May @ 05h26) - Officer responded to alarm signal and found force marks on kitchen window. No entry was gained to home.
SHOPLIFTING - MAIN ST (Sat 27 May @ 14h45) - Allsound Guards requested assistance after apprehending a suspect for shoplifting. Stolen goods were recovered and the suspect was handed over to SAPS.
BURGLARY - LEAGUE ST (Wed 31 May @ 09h30) - Client phoned to report that their garage was broken into.
Power tools, a bicycle and bolt cutter were stolen. Owner suspected the incident happened around 07h30 - 09h30.
Officers searched the area and recovered 1 of the power tools in bushes. SAPS were notified for a case to be opened.
COMMON ROBBERY - HILL ST (Wed 31 May @ 18h30) - Client requested assistance after 2 unknown males grabbed her handbag after she stopped outside her home. Officers searched the area and found no one. SAPS were notified for a case to be opened.
PARADISE / KNYSNA HEIGHTS / HEUWELKRUIN
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - ERICA ST (Thurs 25 May @ 06h16) - Officer responded to alarm signal. Confirmed window forced open but no entry gained. Suspect description was provided and area searched. No arrests made.
BURGLARY - CAMPBELL DR (Sat 27 May @ 17h30) - Property owner reported to our Control Room that they had a break-in, time unknown. Playstation, games and watches were missing. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.
SALT RIVER / GREEN PASTURES
THEFT - SALT RIVER RD (Thurs 25 May @ 18h00) - Client telephoned to report that copper pipes were stolen. Time of incident unknown. No case opened.
OLD PLACE / COSTA SARDA
COMMON ROBBERY - HOLIDAY CRESC (Sun 28 May @ 12h31) - Officers responded to a panic signal activated for a mugging. A passer-by apprehended the suspect. Allsound Officers detained the suspect and handed him over to SAPS.
INDUSTRIAL AREA / HORNLEE / NEKKIES
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - STROEBEL ST (Wed 31 May @ 09h26) - Client activated the panic alarm after noticing force marks on the door. Officer confirmed no entry was gained to the building, nothing missing. No case was opened.
FISHER HAVEN / HUNTERS HOME / REXFORD
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - HOPE ST (Wed 31 May @ 00h21) - Officer responded to alarm signal and found window at the back forced open. No entry was gained to the home and nothing missing. SAPS were notified.
BURGLARY - FRASER ST (Wed 31 May @ 02h50) - Client telephoned to report that they had an intruder in their home. Suspect used ladder to gain access to window. Client unsure if anything was missing. SAPS were informed. No suspects found in the area.
BELVIDERE / PHANTOM RIVER
BURGLARY - PHANTOM RIVER PASS (Wed 31 May @ 08h30) - Client reported a break-in at his neighbours home. Window was forced open while residents were asleep. A handbag, wallet, 2 laptops and cellphone were reported missing. Incident reported to have happened around 23:30 the previous night.
BRENTON ON SEA / LAKE BRENTON
BURGLARY - LAKE BRENTON (Thurs 25 May @ 08h11) - Caretaker phoned to report a break-in at the premises. Ladder was found against the house and 2 plasma TVs, 2 bicycles and 2 canoes were missing. Alarm was not armed at the time. SAPS were notified and a case opened.
BURGLARY - PROTEA LANE (Thurs 25 May @ 22h02) - Officer responded to alarm signal and found downstairs window forced open. Keyholder was notified but was unable to confirm if anything was missing from the home. Allsound Officers and SAPS K9 members searched the area. No one found.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - STRYDOM ST (Fri 26 May @ 02h04) - Domestic worker woke up to the sound of someone trying to open the door. Suspect fled when he was disturbed. Allsound officers and SAPS searched the area, no one found. No entry was gained to the premises.
BUFFALO BAY
BURGLARY - PANORAMA ST (Sun 28 May @ 11h00) - Client phoned our Control Room to report that they had a break-in during the night. Suspect forced open a sliding door. Owner confirmed cash was missing. SAPS were notified and a case was opened.
