"A total amount of R2 230 was raised this year which is just fantastic," said Festival organiser Amanda Judson Dixon. "We had a total of 71 dogs participating this year and eight VIP guests from KAWS that were up for adoption on the day of the event.
This, for me personally, is one of the highlights of my year as my own three dogs are all welfare babies and they are very precious to me so it gives me such joy to be able to give something back to a very special cause.
"It was a delight indeed to see dogs of all shapes, breeds, sizes and barks congregate on the Fish Eagle Green for an afternoon of fun with their owners. We even had participants arrive on a Vespa with their ’fluffs’ perched high on the handle bars in eager anticipation of the event, certainly a sight that made all there smile and laugh," said Dixon.
