KNYSNA NEWS - The first Knysna Arts and Awareness Lifestyle Charity Event took place at Villa Castollini on 27 October, featuring a sophisticated mix of entertainment and a glitzy atmosphere.
The event, organised by Alliance Management Consulting, is the first of many planned for the Garden Route.
The success of the event can be attributed to André Johnson's discerning eye for arts and culture.
Showcasing the region's rich artistic heritage, it boasted a carefully curated selection of arts and entertainment and featured artists such as Stanley Grootboom, poet Sauno Was-Lemuel, saxophonist Janey Mitchell and Tino Singe.
Fashion designers Austin Lee and Angeline Barnado also showcased their innovative collections.
The highlight of the evening was the auction of an artwork by Stanley Grootboom. Funds raised from the auctions being donated to Knysna Alcohol and Drug Centre (KADC).
