KNYSNA NEWS FLASH - The countdown to the 15th Knysna Globeflight Pink Loerie Mardi Gras & Arts Festival in association with TRIAC and MGSA has begun in earnest. Knysna will be transformed into a carnival town from Wednesday April 29 to Sunday May 3.

This year festival participants and spectators are spoilt for choice as the organisers have expanded the programme to include the glitzy Mr Gay World™ Grand Finale as well as South Africa’s inaugural Wigstock Premium Drag Event that will run throughout the festival.

The 23 international Mr Gay World™ delegates will grow the number of high profile visitors to Knysna. Also the cachet of hosting the final crowning will inspire more visitors in future. This in turn is expected to help the festival grow even more going forward.

”For this year’s event we have made some exciting changes to the festival’s usual line-up, apart from the chance to see delegates for the international title up close and choose one's own favourite,” says John O’Neil, Pink Loerie organiser.
