PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Voters in Plettenberg Bay turned out in their hundreds at the Piesang Valley community centre voting station early on Wednesday morning.
By 07:00, when voting started, a long queue had already formed with voters beginning to arrive shortly after 06:00.
Ayanda Kunene, IEC Bitou electoral official, confirmed the heavy flow of voters at Piesang Valley and said other polling centres that were busy included Plettenberg Bay Primary School and Kwanokuthula.
In comparison, there were fewer voters at the New Horizons community hall voting station.
Kunene said some minor issues, involving the aged, were quickly solved.
He said there were a few hiccups because of network problems, but these were also resolved quickly by IT specialists.
"So far, so good," said Kunene at 10:00.
