KNYSNA NEWS - On Sunday 7 April, Knysna police arrested a 33-year-old suspect on a murder charge following the death of his 53-year-old father.
The preliminary investigation reveals that the victim suffered fatal stab wounds to the head, prompting a swift response from law enforcement. The accused has already made his first court appearance.
At approximately 21:20 on Sunday, authorities received a distress call and dispatched officers to a residence on Taloesie Street in Hornlee.
Upon arrival, they discovered the victim with severe stab wounds to the head. Immediate medical assistance was provided, and the victim was rushed to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The accused was arrested at the residence shortly after the incident occurred.
The police are not able to give further information at this time. The suspect remains in custody until his next court appearance.
The traumatised family did not want to talk to the media.
