KNYSNA | BITOU NEWS - The Western Cape Department of Health is continuously encouraging vaccination against the Covid-19 virus.
With this in mind, it encourages businesses to notify them if the business wants to vaccinate their staff.
This outreach by the Department of Health is aimed at increasing the number of Covid-19 vaccinations in Knysna and Sedgefield by bringing the vaccinations to the businesses themselves. The department will visit the business to administer the vaccinations.

As of Tuesday 12 July, the Western Cape has seen 3 033 962 registrations for the Covid-19 vaccine, 54,06% of the eligible population.
In the Garden Route, a total of 264 448 people have registered for the vaccine, 53,42% of the eligible population.
In Knysna there has been a total of 37 358 vaccine registrations, which is 65,07% of the eligible population. Bitou has seen a total of 23 303 vaccine registrations, 54,84% of the eligible population.
