BUSINESS NEWS - It is exciting news to be nominated for the Best Of Knysna & Plett Readers' Choice Awards and truly humbling to know that the broader Knysna community can see the incremental changes we have implemented at the school.

Central to these changes are our vision, 'To foster a safe community of self-regulated learners', and our mission, 'Knysna High School strives to teach learners the importance of lifelong growth by encouraging the use of diverse strategies, skills and abilities to successfully engage in learning'.

Ons skool is sentraal tot die gemeenskap wat ons bedien en is inderdaad 'n weerspieëling van die uitdagings waarmee ons in die breër samelewing te kampe het.

Dit is 'n voorreg om deel te wees van die groei van die volgende geslag Suid-Afrikaners wat ons wonderlike land vorentoe sal neem. Ons vertrou dat dit met respek en grasie vir al ons gemeenskappe gedoen sal word, ongeag hoe uiteenlopend hulle is.

Knysna High School is a community that is based on the importance of education and developing the whole child.

Grade 11 camp

One of our goals is to guide them to a place where they are able to think independently and balance their own personal rights and responsibilities with those same rights and responsibilities that apply to our broader society.

The social norms that have been eroded over time need to be restored collectively and we believe that Knysna High School, and indeed all of the schools in Knysna and Plett, are actively contributing to this restoration.

Daar is geen groter vreugde en verantwoordelikheid as om met kinders te werk nie. Die personeel van Hoërskool Knysna waardeer die vertroue wat die gemeenskap in ons stel, waarvan hierdie nominasie 'n bewys is.

Squash team

Ons sal daarna streef om altyd ons verbintenis tot die opvoeding van die hele kind na te kom. Hoërskool Knysna bied ook verskeie geleenthede (akademie, sport, diens en kuns) waar die kinders kan groei.

As 'n skoolgemeenskap is ons daartoe verbind om saam te werk sodat ons steeds vorentoe kan groei vir die verbetering van Knysna se kinders en die breër gemeenskap.
