KNYSNA NEWS - Due to popular demand, the Oakhill Christmas Market hosted at the Thesen Harbour Town is back again this weekend after a short absence.
First hosted on Thesen Islands in 2017, the market gained traction with positive reviews from locals and tourists, vendors, store owners and residents on the island.
Oakhill and The Lofts shared a like-minded passion for Knysna and the community and, together with Thesen Islands Commercial Owners Association, have been able to offer a fun, family-friendly experience.
The jovial atmosphere and community appeal is attributed to bringing together the greater Knysna community, past and present Oakhill families and friends, Thesen Islands residents, locals and tourists who all engage in the unique experience.
Beneath the trees adjacent to The Lofts Atrium, a plethora of gifting items and spoils from specialist local stalls are available, including décor, gifts, clothing, art and accessories as well as delectable foods, drinks and treats to enjoy.
Visitors can have a real family experience as there are fun, creative and craft activities for the children.
Expect plenty of festive cheer with live music and an opportunity to buy your own decorations, wreaths and Christmas-themed gifts.
Thrilled that Oakhill School is able to host it again, marketing manager Karine Trollip explained that Oakhill aims to capture the spirit of giving, hope and the joy of community.
"The market embodies the passion for our local community and provides visitors the opportunity to stock up on gorgeous decorations and gifts for the festive season ahead in a world-class style. As in the past, Oakhill is also pleased to enhance local business, with most stallholders being 100% local," she said.
The Oakhill Christmas Market is set to make a welcome return this year.
