Park it at the market
• Knysna: The Friday Market at Knysna Montessori School in Kanonkop Street, 16:00 - 20:00. Supervised parking, seating and shelter, bonfires and live music, a quality craft selection, a bar and an amazing choice of locally produced food enjoyed on the premises or at home.
• Sedgefield: Wild Oats Community farmers' market every Saturday morning (an award-winning market with over 60 stalls of the finest local farm produce, home bakes, plants and flowers, outdoor breakfast and live music), Scarab Craft Village and Mosaic Market, all in close proximity along the N2.
• Plettenberg Bay: Harkerville Saturday Market every Saturday morning offers food, art and craft and more, on the N2 midway between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay.
Networking Wednesdays
• The Knysna Networking group comes together for two Wednesdays every month, with like-minded business individuals meeting to network. For more information you can contact Gudrun Cox on 072 699 4174.

Under the covers
• The weekend will kick off early at Surf Cafe Plett, who have a line-up filled to the brim this week. Pride and Joy will be serenading patrons tonight, Thursday 20 May, from 19:00. Ryan Kidwell will follow on 7 May with Janey Mitchell on 22 May and finally Mr Ian to wrap up the weekend on 23 May, all on stage from 19:00 onwards.
• As part of their usual weekly line-ups, Tapas will be featuring Tigger tomorrow, Friday 21 May, with the show on from 18:30 to 21:30. Meanwhile, Drydock will be hosting Lani Groves on Saturday 22 May from 13:00 to 16:00.
• On Sunday 9 May, Mel's Place will welcome music from HardtLand duo Mynhardt Krüger and Andrew Nezar. They will be honouring the most important people of our lives, our mothers, in their show Mother of Honour with songs from Queen to Il Divo. They will be performing from 13:00 to 16:00.
Wendy Oldfield will be launching her newest album at Mel's Place this weekend.
Original offerings
• On Friday and Saturday 21 and 22 May, Mel's Place will see its owner and namesake Mel Botes take to the stage for poets, pizza, and wine evenings from 19:00 on.
• Following on from Mel, South African music veteran and legend Wendy Oldfield will be launching her brand-new album Salt at Mel's Place on Sunday 23 May, starting at 14:00.
Mr Ian will be on stage at Surf Cafe Plett.
