GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Despite Covid-19 having led to the cancellation of most live concerts, the Mossel Bay Arts Society is bringing a music recital to the Southern Cape.
Zanta Hofmeyr, one of South Africa's foremost violinists, together with the talented pianist Olive Sandilands, will be performing at the Dias Museum on Thursday 16 September, with only limited seats still available.
Therefore, the same concert will take place again on Saturday 18 September. Besides Mozart's Sonata in G major, Grieg's Sonata in C minor and a selection of works by Kreisler, Zanta will be performing The Lark Ascending by Ralph Vaughan Williams.
In addition, the audience can look forward to treats such as the theme from Ladies in Lavender and the tango from Scent of a Woman.
Tickets cost R150 per person and R130 for members of the Mossel Bay Arts Society.
Booking is essential, via Abé Meintjes 083 268 3718. Both concerts start at 19:30. Doors open at 18:00. All Covid-19 protocols will be applicable: social distancing and the wearing of masks are obligatory.
