ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - Fans of music groups such as Van Coke Cartel and Lost&Found are in for a treat later this month when a member from both of these groups will be touring through the Garden Route with his new band, Oooth, for the first time since its inception.
Jason Oosthuizen, renowned South African drummer and musician, has swapped his drumsticks for an electric guitar as frontman for Oooth.
He is largely known for being a member of locally celebrated bands (mentioned above), and has also done session and live work for Jack Parow, Fokofpolisiekar, Die Heuwels Fantasties, The Narrow and Albert Frost.
For the last four years, Oosthuizen has been part of the Blood Brothers concerts in support of The Vrede Foundation.
Oooth's debut album Who Cares What You Think was released in November this year. The band will be performing live for the first time in Plettenberg Bay and Knysna on 18 and 20 December respectively.
The band was started in September when Jason decided to broaden his musical horizons to singer/songwriter position, his Gibson electric and a mic in tow.
He released Oooth’s debut single and music video Hands Under the Table that same month.
