KNYSNA NEWSFLASH & VIDEO - A local rapper from Knysna is living the dream of many young South Africans after being signed by a prominent record label, and will be taking his first giant leap onto the music scene later this week.
Ashley Bongani Miles, aka Arab, who was born and bred in Nekkies, Knysna has been signed by Sphethu Records, a company driven by popular producer Ngane Sikobi who’s body of work includes Duncan’s latest album, Balaclava.
Arab also made an appearance on Duncan’s music video for the title track of the album.
Where it gets exciting for this young lyricist, is the launch of his first EP titled Drunk in Studio.
It has eight full length tracks on it, with Sikobi and All Hail Beats as producers.
According to Arab he wrote all the songs himself, with some good advice and input from producer Sikobi.
The launch kicks off on Friday 2 February at Juventers Pub Lounge in George.
