From a sumptuous brunch to inspirational speakers, gifts for each guest, a mini auction of paintings and lots of prize draws, the ladies left the event, as organiser Iliana Efstratiou intended, feeling pampered and inspired. The purpose of the event was to raise funds for Knysna’s Options Care Centre, a Christian organisation that provides counseling and support to pregnant women.
Lindah Robinson, co-founder of Family Transformation International, spoke on being a Woman of Peace, Passion and Purpose.
Robinson and her husband, Drummond, started Family Transformation International 22 years ago. Their books and workshop material on subjects such as being a Woman of Peace, a Man of Honour, and Positioned for Blessing are being used worldwide. Powerful testimonies were shared about how this material is being used in changing the lives of thousands, among them prisoners in Kenya, and many communities across the globe.
"A big thank you to our main contributors of this event: Whitehouse & Hospitality Suite, Furnit and The Deck House of Knysna, Toy Black Interiors of Plettenberg Bay and the artists who generously contributed paintings. A special thank you to all the ladies who attended. You are amazing!" says Efstratiou.
She also extended an invitation to everybody interested in finding out more about Options Care Centre, or who would like to contribute financially, to contact the Options office on (044) 382 7478.
