Debbie Johnson from Grahamstown, who is showing her work for the first time at the festival, says, "My photography is all about antique roses.
"It is amazing how they have survived the test of time and I feel that it’s my responsibility to nurture them and keep them alive through my craft.
"They ask for nothing but exude so much beauty and I hope that is what people are going to get from this."
Artist Veronica de Voogt says this is her second time participating and that she has also helped organise this year’s festival.

"Organiser Owen Roberts has done an amazing job to keep the festival alive and despite all the challenges, here we are.
"As an artist, the constant challenge is challenging yourself and I'm personally fascinated by movement and try to bring that out in my works."
Another is young Brendan Leggat, son of sculptor Robbert Leggat. He has followed in his father’s footsteps and sculpting since the age of 16.

Now 22, Brendan explains his personal journey: "Initially I wasn't interested in art because that is what my dad did – until I walked into his studio, picked up clay, and decided this is what I'm going to do and I've never looked back."
The festival runs until Saturday 24 February.
