KNYSNA NEWS - Legendary South African musician Karen Zoid will be appearing in Knysna this week for a special acoustic performance - an exciting departure for the rocker who has been indulging in expansive collaborations with the likes of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.
Zoid last performed in Knysna on 2 April 2021 as part of Better Live's "Awesome! Easter" line-up with her regular rock-fare.
This time, however, she is returning for a much more laid-back, intimate and grounded performance on Friday 18 February with only guitarist Henry Steel as companion to share her unique take on the music that shaped her, the songs that paved her success and the stories behind them.
There are very limited tickets left for sale, and no tickets will be sold at the venue, Blend Country Restaurant. To book, you can visit www.quicket.co.za.
The weekend's line-up at Blend will also feature rising SA artist Lee Cole on Saturday 19 February.
Cole steps into 2022 with a string of hit singles following two years of chart-topping tunes across various radio stations around the country.
With vocal influences ranging from rock titans Queen and AC/DC, to pop icon Michael Jackson, Lee Cole's sound has been shaped by the multiple genres that he's assimilated over the years.
His performance starts at 19:30 on Saturday and tickets are available on Quicket.
