KNYSNA ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - A prolific local Hip Hop artist, Sandile Gantolo, is making waves on the local music scene with the release of his second EP, The Greatest 6 EP. The local muso is now making a music video for one of the six songs songs called Now you Know.
Gantolo says his love for music started in 2005.
"I was doing Kwaito at the time and in December 2006, I moved to Jeffreys Bay. The same year I released my underground album called Call me Hero. The ten-track album was produced by Vuyisile Patrick Skweyiya, also known as Masta P," he said.
While in the Eastern Cape, Gantolo joined Feast Hammer Records owned by Luthando Mnoneleli Damana, aka Burax.
"Working with Sinoxolo Higa, we started our own label in Jeffreys Bay in 2010 and two years later in 2012 we signed with producer Sibonelo from KwaZulu-Natal."

Gantolo returned to Knysna in 2018 and started working with well-known Knysna music producer Tyler Tonic. Together with Tyler he released a freestyle song called Talking Dust and a single where he featured KashmizzoCX called Siyasebenza.
"Working with Dj Mazake in 2019, I recorded an EP with MNC records. I could not release the EP last year because of Covid-19; instead I released a music video called We On, which was shot by Smizzo Visuals," he said.
Soon he will be releasing a song called Odogwu, which he made with Nigerian artist Elver, and there is another EP on the cards called Putting that Work.
