GEORGE NEWS - The George Music Society is very excited to present the magnificent and very popular Charl du Plessis Trio with their programme 50 Ways to leave your lover.
The trio, consisting of pianist Charl du Plessis, bassist Werner Spies and drummer Peter Auret, is one of the most recognised instrumental groups in South Africa.
They have released nine albums, won four Sama awards and regularly perform in Europe and Eastern Asia.
Their style combines classical music with influences of jazz, pop and world music and is aimed at the curious listener. In their latest programme they perform music of Bach, Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite and new arrangements of Abba and Paul Simon.
This wonderful performance will take place at 19:30 on Tuesday 7 November at the George Arts Theatre.
Ticket prices are R180 for members of the public, R50 for children and only R130 for Music Society members. Tickets can be bought from the theatre box office or at www.georgemusicsociety.co.za.
