KNYSNA NEWS - When national radio stalwart DJ Fresh aka Big Dawg agreed to a stint on the decks at a local DJ's birthday party, locals could be forgiven for expecting a packed venue – especially after the popular personality posted a video on social media promising fans "a mad party".

Ironically, not many people turned up for DJ Mjilo's 40th birthday party held at Club 702 in White Location on Saturday night 9 November, however, but those who did were taking so many pictures of the famous Big Dawg that he eventually had to ask for protection from all the flashing lights that were hurting his eyes.

Local artists, DJs and songbirds rallied up and delivered musical acts celebrating DJ Mjilo as one of the game changers in terms of music locally.

As soon as Fresh hit the decks, his mood which up to that point had seemed rather grumpy, changed drastically as he got lost in the music. Unfortunately, DJ Fresh did not agree to an interview.
