BOXING NEWS - The cream of the crop from Sobhuza Boxing Club in Thembalethu attended a boxing tournament in Barcelona, Mossel Bay last weekend. 

The young boxers surprised everyone when they won seven gold medals and two silver medals. 

The seven gold medallists are Imange Thethani, Yamkela Pinyani, Sinenceba Mankayi, Lithetha Nkondlo, Anakhe Booi, Lukhanyo Mpikampi and Yamkela Vellem. The Sobhuza Boxing Club head coach, Amahle Malobola, praised her team for their efforts and achievements.

The team manager, Nkosikho Makalima, thanked everyone who supported them during the trip to Mossel Bay, especially Timers & Sons Company for providing and helping them with transport costs. 

He said that the club is preparing for two major tournaments, one on 23 September in Hermanus and the other the following weekend in Thembalethu Community Hall in George.
