PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Western Cape Kay Motsepe U19 Schools Cup reigning champions and Safa Eden representatives Murray High School soccer team put their very best on show in the national Kay Motsepe tournament in Johannesburg last weekend.
Sadly their journey ended when they lost 1-0 against the Benny Sports Academy on Wednesday morning, 4 October in a quarter-final game.
The young hopefuls were the pride of Plettenberg Bay and the Eden region when they qualified to represent the Western Cape as one of the last top eight high schools in the prestigious national schools competition.
They started their campaign on a high by beating SDM Nxumalo High 6-0 in their first game and maintained the same spirit and teamwork in their second game against Botlhabelo High.
They played a draw and went through to the quarter-finals, only to be ousted by Benny Sports Academy.
