KNYSNA NEWS - Six young dancers of the Art in Motion Dance Academy recently delivered an impressive performance at the A-Arts Festival, collecting multiple gold awards and top honours across several categories.
Competing in the 8-and-under division, Aria Elliot earned a silver award for her modern contemporary novice solo, achieving 79.5%.
In the 9-10 age group, Juliet Venter secured gold for her modern contemporary solo with 84.5%, while Jordin Thompson stood out with two gold awards, scoring 88% for lyrical and 86.5% for musical theatre.
The academy continued its strong showing in the 15-and-under category, where Jordan Laubscher earned gold in hip-hop and street styles with 82.5%. Senna Duby achieved gold in modern contemporary with 86%, while Harlow Holmes impressed with two gold awards, scoring 88.8% for modern contemporary and 86.7% for hip-hop and street styles, respectively.
Duet performances further added accolades to the studio's tally. Jordin and Juliet received two gold awards for their acro and modern contemporary routines, while Jordan and Harlow earned gold for their hip-hop and street styles duet.
Several dancers were also recognised with top honours, including Jordin, who was named the best overall junior lyrical soloist. Harlow received the award for best overall contemporary solo, and the duo of Harlow and Jordan claimed best overall duet.
