The routes started and finished at the Epilepsy SA Centre and took the runners and walkers around neighbouring streets such as Rio, Ridge, Pickard, McClelland, Stent, Fletcher, Vygie, Templeman and Edwards. The area is very hilly and proved to be challenging going up, but nice coming down them. An added attraction for the athletes were the wonderful views overlooking Knysna, Thesen Island, Leisure Isle and The Heads.
Each runner and walker received a handmade wooden medal as they crossed the finish line. The medals were the inspiration of Sharifa Louw (supervisor of the Stimulation Group), Epilepsy SA Knysna and many of the residents helped to make them.
