SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - George Badminton Club buzzed with excitement as it hosted the highly anticipated Eden Badminton Federation social day on Saturday 25 May. A total of 28 players, ranging in age from 11 to 70, gathered for a day of fun and friendly competition.
Participants from Plettenberg Bay, George, Mossel Bay and Stilbaai were paired up in teams, ensuring a blend of experience and youthful energy on the courts.
The atmosphere was electric as players showcased their skills, rallied together, and celebrated each point.
Special thanks goes to Arthur Strydom who added to the atmosphere by entertaining the players with music from days gone by.
The event concluded with a small ceremony, where everyone was recognised for their participation, reinforcing the community spirit.
Eden Badminton Federation looks forward to organising more such events, continuing to promote badminton as a sport for all ages. Currently there are active badminton clubs in Plettenberg Bay, Oudtshoorn, George, Mossel Bay and Stilbaai.
