In the 21km race, Gershwin Jacobs, the Nedbank runner of George, took the lead and kept it throughout to take the win in the half marathon in a time of 1:08:49.
Julius Korkee from Mossel Bay Harriers was second (01:12:28) and was closely followed by Zandesile Ngeva (Nedbank) in a time of 01:12:57. In the women's race, Nedbank runner Kirsty Weir showed most of the men some heels and broke the ladies course record in a time of 1:27:13. Second was Michelle Petit (02:02:00) and third Hanna du Toit from Sedgefield Striders (02:06:43).

Ladies:
1. Merida Leen (Mossel Bay Harriers) 00:41:13, 2. Lisl Grobler (Knysna Marathon Club) 00:43:30; 3. Clarisha Pieterse (Mossel Bay Harriers) 00:44:53.
In the swimming event, the brother and sister team, of Marsel and Moneque Roos of Knysna, took top spots on the podium. Marsel missed his own record (11:07 that he set in 2011) by seconds and came in at 11:43. He was followed by Andrew Robinson in second ( 12:55) and Evan Jones in third (13:22).
Moneque won the ladies event in a time of 13:50. Carla Lidstone was the second lady (21:17) home.
Elfonso Pieterse,Vuyo Witbooi and Melikhaya Msizi took top honours in the Waterfront to Heads men's 10km race.
