BOWLS SPORT NEWS - In among the hullabaloo of all the large-scale sporting events that happened during the Knysna Oyster Festival, a hotly contested and successful Knysna Oyster Festival Bowls Tournament was held for the 37th time from 4 to 7 July.
The tournament was hosted by Knysna Bowling Club (KBC) once more, and this year they enlisted the help of Leisure Isle Bowling Club to accommodate the high number of participating teams and players.
There was a total of 50 teams from all over the country, of which 30 were men's teams and 20 ladies' teams.
On the evening of 5 July they enjoyed a fun evening of socialising and dancing with local artist Shaza at KBC and on the evening of 7 July the prize-giving was held where the winners were announced and participants could enjoy some oysters.
