KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna Secondary School missed a golden opportunity to advance in the Kay Motsepe U19 Schools Cup after falling 2-0 to George Royal Academy in their opening elimination fixture at Kwanokuthula Stadium last weekend.
Lihle Toto opened the scoring for the Academy boys with a composed finish past Knysna goalkeeper Angelo Manuel, before Asiphe Nkata doubled the lead using his pace to break through the defence.
Defender Ayabonga Mtengwana delivered a standout performance, marshalling the Academy's back line throughout the match.
Despite Knysna Secondary's attempts to fight back in the second half, they couldn't convert their chances.
George Royal Academy held firm to book their place in the final with a solid all-round display.
