KNYSNA NEWS - Both cricket clubs in Knysna, Pirates United and Knysna Cavaliers, will see one of their sides take part in a semi-final encounter this week as the SWD cricket season begins to draw to a close.
For Pirates it will be their first team in action, when they face off with New Dawn Park in an SWD Promotion Division A semi-final.
The winner of that match will then progress to the final of the league, where they will battle it out with either Mayflower or Pacaltsdorp United for promotion to the SWD Premier League.
When it comes to Cavaliers, however, it will be their second team that plays a semi-final (their first team is already in the Premier League final). They will play against Harlequins Forces C in an SWD Reserve League semi-final.
The winner will face either George B or Mossel Bay B in the final in a bid to be promoted to SWD Promotion Division B.
Both semi-finals are scheduled to take place in Knysna on Saturday 5 March, but this is subject to change.
