GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - It was another disappointing weekend for the Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers women’s team in the Cricket South Africa Hollywoodbets Professional competition.

Nicolien Janse van Rensburg and her team suffered consecutive defeats in the Pro50 (lost by 168 runs) and Pro20 (lost by 23 runs) games against the Titans in Oudtshoorn, this past weekend.

In the Pro50 match the Badgers had the Titans against the ropes at 28/3 but a well-played century by their international star, Suné Luus (110*; 109 balls, 8x4, 1x6) with good support from Gandi Jaftha (60) allowed the Titans to score a total of 250/5 to pave their way for victory.
