PLETTENBERG BAY SPORT NEWS – After a two-year Covid-19-induced break, the annual Nature's Valley Trust Triathlon brought the little seaside village to life on Thursday 22 December with more than 200 athletes taking part in the event.
With clear skies overhead and morning air already beginning to warm, the race started at 07:00 with a 300m swim in the Groot-rivier lagoon, followed by a 12km cycle and wrapped up with a testing 3km run along Lagoon Drive and the Nature's Valley beach.
While there were 70 individual athletes, a staggering 45 teams took part, bringing the total number of participants to 205 for the day.
