The seven-day stage race attracts adventurous riders from all over the globe who enjoy a stern challenge along with the finer things in life. It is this unique blend of luxury and adventure, set against the backdrop of South Africa's most celebrated mountain biking terrain, that has set TransCape apart as a truly world-class event.
TransCape 2020 will be running from 1 to 8 February, starting in George again and finishing in stunning Franschhoek.
Daily stages vary between 70 and 100km, traversing the full range of landscapes this special part of Africa has to offer. From luscious coastal forests to arid Klein Karoo magic, from quaint country back roads to calf-crunching climbs, the diversity of this region continues to spoil the eyes and race the heart.
The route provides a stern but fair challenge, and E-bikes are most welcome and certainly the answer for those who don't have the luxury of many training hours.
