POLITICAL NEWS - ANC deputy president in KwaZulu-Natal, Sipho Hlomuka, reportedly embarked on a campaign to settle the confusion in some rural areas in the province on who the ANC president was between Jacob Zuma and Cyril Ramaphosa.
Some people in the districts of King Bhambatha, Nquthu, and Msimanga reportedly believed Zuma was still president.
Hlomula told Isolezwe: “Although not all rural areas think so but in those conflicts, we are busy helping Msholozi to tell people that Ramaphosa has become our current president. One thing we know is that the key to people as voting is not the president but the ANC.”
EWN recently posted a video of a crowd celebrating the former president at the ANC manifesto launch rally in KwaZulu-Natal, proving that the province was still his stronghold.
He later posted a video on Twitter thanking the crowd for showing him support when he was in the province to campaign for the ANC.
